Update – Snow in March???

I mean what the hell is going on with this weather? It’s nearly April and I’ve been snowed on for 3 consecutive days. This is completely ridiculous. If anyone out there would like to offer me a job somewhere with a 20c+ climate, please get in touch.

In other news, we’ve been getting excited about the Crossfit Games Open. Arifa is doing some WODs, but is using her pregnancy as an excuse to stand smugly at the sidelines whilst everyone else grumbles through 150 wall balls. If I could get away with it, I would too: I hate wallballs more than pretty much anything else ever (geese excepted). However, I did do considerably better than last year – 57 reps extra, one of which was a muscle up! I am pretty pleased with myself. It wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t my first ever (4th) but who cares. I got a muscle up!!!

This week I’ve decided that enough is enough, and I need to start taking packed lunches to work. So this week I’m doing one, and I’m planning to gradually work my way up to the full week. Does anyone out there have any lunchbox suggestions or inspiration?

Maybe not the most exciting or enticing of lunches, but I tend to throw some mixed leaves, maybe greens, chicken breast or salmon fillets, hard boiled eggs and beet root together for pretty much most of my lunches – maybe some nuts and a bit of dried fruit for “dessert”!
