It’s the end of the week and we’ve eaten pretty much everything so I have to raid my fridge to see what I can throw together for breakfast. I love banana in my smoothies, but the bananas were all looking a bit sorry for themselves this morning so I made this instead.
What you need:
1 apple, cut into chunks (don’t peel it)
1 large or 2 small fresh figs, cut into quarters
freshly squeezed juice of 1 lime
How to make it:
Just throw all the ingredients into your blender or smoothie maker with a glass of ice cold water, and a couple of ice cubes if you want it really cold.
Blend until smooth and drink up.
My new blender actually makes smoothies, as opposed to lumpies like the old one. Awesome.
