A great savoury snack and great for dealing with crisp cravings. I imagine they’d be good for scooping up dips as well! If you’re not eating dairy you can leave the Parmesan out, but it does add a lot to the flavour, and make sure you add a bit extra salt to compensate.
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp ground almonds
3 tbsp finely grated parmesan
A generous pinch of salt
Thinly slice the onions and caramelise in a small amount of olive oil until soft and golden brown. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan. Watch these carefully as they go from completely normal looking to burnt in a millisecond.
Mix in with other ingredients. Place small amounts on a grease proof paper covered baking sheet and spread out with a fork or spoon until about 3mm thick. Bake for 12-15mins at 180c until golden brown and crispy
